Here are a few things that we like that may be helpful to you as you embark on your health and wellness journey.

BLENDER
I try to drink a protein powder-based meal replacement every day. The protein shake is loaded with antioxidants, phytonutrients, and super important (and often overlooked) vitamins and minerals. I throw in a big handful of spinach, mango chunks, liquid and blend. A great way to start the day. It's my daily dose of nutrition.
And here's the deal if you're over 40 years old--as our bodies start to age, the natural progression is that we start losing muscle tissue and sadly, we gain fat tissue. Having the right mix of macronutrients in your daily eating pattern becomes even more important. Incorporating more protein into your daily eating pattern is very important. So....drink a protein meal replacement daily.

This is a favorite of ours: Shakeology. More than just a protein shake; it's a TOTAL MEAL Replacement. I've been using Shakeology since 2012.

To Weigh or Not To Weigh?
I don't weigh my food every day. I don't obsess about things like that. HOWEVER, I do like to weigh my food occasionally though...like during those times when I am recording my food intake for a few days. That way, my food intake record is as accurate as possible. Weighing food can also be helpful when you're trying to get a feel for a proper or appropriate serving size.
